Sunday saw two of the UK's best pianists braving the rain and winds of Storm Dennis to blow away the packed audience at Newport Jazz Club's latest concert as they provided a masterclass set of piano duets.

Bands usually have only one person on keys so this was a unique opportunity to see David Newton and Craig Milverton on the same stage. It was clear that they were enjoying the chance to play together as much as the audience enjoyed their thirteen number set.

Opening with On Green Dolphin Street it was soon clear that the audience were in for a treat as David and Craig alternated effortlessly between melody and counter melody. They both had an opportunity to demonstrate their individual skills with solo features with David chosing Like Someone in Love and Craig electing for Never Been in Love Before. There was also a magnificent duet based around Tea for Two.
